Masks

For many years I have been known as a class clown, the court jester, that guy who just like to make people smile, and all these years, I still hear people say “you’re a natural”…

But it’s only half true. For many of us, the smiles and laughter can be a safe place, a costume to hide the pain and demons that haunt our own thoughts.

So,  please don’t assume every smile you see is genuine, you don’t know what is going on inside their head, but by being genuine and aware, you can help people feel safe to remove the masks…

Whatever you do to push past any depression, sorrow or fear, make it a healthy way and one that will help you grow for the future and not lock you into a prison in your own head…
